Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Romans 12:12 The Passion Translation
“Mom, are you still awake?” my son said as he knocked on our bedroom door.
“Yeah,” I replied. “I just went to bed. What’s up?”
“I met the most beautiful, intelligent and creative person I have ever seen,” he said.
He went on to describe, Sarah, the beautiful and talented young woman who would become his wife.
What a joy it has been to see their relationship grow and observe her creative solutions applied in their lives. She is outstanding in her ability to pull together what seem like random objects into a beautiful arrangement. This is true when drawing, cooking, arranging flowers, creating websites, promoting social media and hanging up their collection of guitars. It is masterful, understated and beautiful. I am grateful to have her in our lives. And on top of all of that, she really makes my son happy.
Honor Keys
To honor creativity, begin to think differently about the topic. Yes, music, art and drawing are creative forces, yet there is much more. How about the resiliency to look for solutions from surprising places? What is the most creative solution you have ever seen? Who manages to bring joy and hope to every situation no matter how difficult it is?
Definition
Creativity goes far beyond painting, writing or creating music. There is creativity when you find Godly solutions to difficult problems. Hope springs forth in creative ways when you latch on to a practical application of a spiritual principle. Pulling all that together, you can begin to be the expression of all that God has called you to be. You become a work of art, an unforgettable poem and the compelling book with a happy ending. You fulfill your true destiny.

Karen, I love this! What a new and different way to look at creativity! This has far longer-reaching implications than admiring a painting or a Pinterest-worthy table setting.
(And your new site is simply beautiful.)
Shelby,
Thanks for your feedback on the site. I am so glad for this challenge because it forced me to just put out what was there instead of waiting for perfection. It can so hinder us. You are the queen of creativity! I honor how you move forward and grow in the midst of it all. Hugs! You certainly made my day!
Karen
I never looked at creativity this way, but you are absolutely right! Glad this series is giving you the push to writing again. Blessings!
Barbie,
It feel so good to be back. I think you are amazingly creative and so appreciate what you are putting together too. Thanks so much for your comment and insight. Blessings.
Hugs.

Honor is such a huge thing… and I love the broader picture of creativity! So many people see or hear that word and immediately dismiss themselves from the topic… but we are ALL creative because we’re created in His image! This definition helps those who don’t draw or write, etc!
Karrilee,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You are a treasure and so creative yourself. I love the point you made that we indeed are all creative since we’re created in the image of the creator Himself. May I quote you?
Hugs.
Karen
While reading this, I immediately thought of my daughter. She is a creative like your Sarah.
I am writing letters to my children to be opened after I pass. I am working on her letter. I want to include some of what you wrote in the wording section. Thanks for this post.
