Keep your eyes open for God, watch for his works;
be alert for signs of his presence. Psalm 105:4
I am so thankful for the awareness of God’s presence in my life. When I need Him the most, He allows me to feel His presence in a special way. The important thing to remember is He is always with you. He promises so many times to never leave you nor forsake you. That’s why I love this verse because it tells us to keep our eyes open for what God is up to and be on the lookout for the miracles that surround us. We need be alert for the signs of His presence in our lives. What miracles took place today? What are ways that He revealed His presence to you today? It’s amazing that by being thankful you will increase that awareness of His presence.

Keep a miracle journal
It doesn’t have to be fancy or leather bound. It can be a cheap composition book. The treasure lies in recording regularly the miracles that God has performed in your life and the lives of those you love. Another way to do this is the write down the prayer requests and leave a space for the answers. Review it frequently, especially in seasons when you feel that nothing great is happening. Be reminded of what God has done for you.
Practice God’s presence
Many think that they have to be in church to feel God’s presence. He is actually very present in the most mundane of tasks if we will focus on Him. Instead of focusing on your task at hand and the frustration of all you have to do, begin to praise Him and thank Him for all His goodness in your life. Invite Him in to your chores and thank Him for His promise to be very close.
Prayer
Lord, I thank You for the promise to never leave us or forsake us not matter where we are or what we are going through. We are very good at inviting you in when we are in crisis mode and You never fail to show up. I ask You to enter the boring, mundane details of my life also. I know that as I am alert to watch for Your works I will begin to see the small miracles. You are very present and show us Your goodness and mercy at every turn. Give me grace to keep my eyes open for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
