Longevity Secrets from the Life of Bill Pritchett
My beloved friend, I pray that everything is going well for you and that your body is as healthy as your soul is prosperous. 3 John 2 (Voice)
At age 19, Dad started attending the Lubbock Foursquare Church when he began studying at Texas Tech. He believed in Jesus as Savior at age 12, but really came to know the Lord at the Lubbock church. He went forward to dedicate his life to the Lord and was shortly after filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and was called to the ministry. This meant moving to Los Angeles, California to attend LIFE Bible College. It was at LIFE Bible College that Dad met Mom who was also studying for the ministry. They saw firsthand, many miraculous healings through the ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson
Any time we got sick, Mom and Dad prayed for us to be healed. They lived in that reality themselves. It was much more than waiting until you were sick, though. It was believing that we are supposed to walk in Divine Health. We were created to be healthy and we did everything that we could to keep it that way. They lived a lifestyle that focused on this but was not consumed with it. It was just what they did on a consistent basis.
Nutrition
Mom made everything “from scratch” which means that we ate very few processed food. When we lived in Central America, she would substitute the tropical fruits and vegetables to make delicious meals for us. We sat down to eat our meals together and enjoyed the time together.
Exercise
Dad loved to swim and did so many times a week up until he was 99 years old. He loved to move quickly and knew that his energy level depended on it. He loved to stretch and did so frequently. He went to a chiropractor every week to get adjusted.
