When I hear the word testimony I immediately think of court.
I will never forget the time that I was interpreting (from English into Spanish) in a court proceeding for a man who had been in an accident. Before we went into the mediation, his lawyer told him to tell a lie about what had happened as this was the only way to win the case. As he was questioned, he forgot the memorized speech (lies) and ended up telling the truth of the situation.
The words that you speak need to agree with the absolute truth. God’s truth. What Jesus says about you is more important than even what you are feeling in this exact moment.
What was your most recent accusation from the enemy? Perhaps, like mine, the words that wanted to escape your lips were some of the following: “Worthless, not good enough, didn’t try hard enough, less than….”
When the enemy comes knocking at your door with accusations of what you are NOT – speak the truth. Jesus paid it ALL. He considers you righteous and not guilty because of what He has already completed on the cross. You simply need to participate with him and live like you believe it’s true.
My Dad’s recent move to Heaven has me thinking of how he did so much in a mere 101 (+ a few months) on this earth. The most important thing was that he possessed resilience. When he got down he quickly bounced right back. I like to call that a TESTIMONY of resilience. Consistency paid off for him.
Your words are significant. Are you speaking defeat as you face the reality of your shortcomings or are you speaking the words of HIS testimony of you?
I am loved.
I am more than enough.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
Who are you?
Please send me your truth testimony in the comments below.

Wow, 101 years. That is a beautiful testimony of living and resilience!
Susan,
It sure is an inspiration to us all. He was strong to the end and taught us all a little about the power of our words. I just love the quick response to trusting God and providing the testimony of God’s power of his life.

They say my cancer’d life should be
a dismal Ingmar Bergman movie,
but no, I’ve chosen to be free,
and my theme song’s “Feelin’ Groovy”.
Sure enough, I count the tumours,
then laugh at each and every one;
if I shall die, I’ll die with humour,
unto the last day, having fun.
I think some find it disappointing
that I pay not meet obeisance here,
but I have taken fools’ anointing,
as my mocking death makes clear.
I’ll caricature the doc on his medical graph;
the grim old boy deserves a laugh.
