I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. Ephesians 1:18 NLT

I love Christmas lights. They make me happy and fill me with hope. One of our family traditions when the kids were little was to go drive around to see the lights. We would come home and drink hot chocolate. They now are doing it with their kids as well.

Remember God loves abundance

This prayer is for an overwhelming sense of God’s HOPE as you begin to fully understand who you are in Christ. You do not have to skimp on it or make it stretch. For many, this season can be stressful because of tight finances. Instead, relax and enjoy giving the gifts that cost very little in money but are priceless. That’s what this series is about.

Be confident in your hope

I speak often of how our current use of the word ‘hope’ is often anything but hopeful. We use it as a last resort. So what does confident hope look like? You have a confident expectation that what you are going through right now will not last forever. Not only that, you will come on the other side of the tunnel with greater blessing and provision.

God called you to live like this

This calling to live in the light of confident hope is not an option. You have a glorious and rich inheritance. It’s time to start living like you believe that to be true. Set aside the petty differences with your family as you gather around the table. Let the light of God’s love flood these situations and give you a perspective of what’s truly imoortant.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, that light has been your idea from the second that you spoke the word, “Let there be light.” I pray that in those dark places that we encounter in our lives that we will have the confidence to speak these same words. I love that you don’t skimp because you’re not sure if you can afford the high electric bill. You can turn on the flood lights and increase our understanding of who we are in You. You are so good to us. You love us in all situations and call us to greater and deeper relationship with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
