Your will is important to your life. It determines the direction and flow of your energy and the activities you choose.
You become unstoppable when you align your decisions with what is written in your life's book in Heaven.Click To TweetWilling is a hard word because it conjures the feeling of doing something that you don’t want to do. You know, the one where you take no action while everyone else stepped back and you ended up shouldering the responsibility. If this feel true then it might help to flip the word and ask the Lord to give you the desire to be willing. This Hope Lady wants to help you flip your unwilling attitude to one of trusting for the best, even in the face of dificulties.
A thesaurus helped me with the hope flip – here are some words for willing – amenable, eager, enthusiastic, happy, cheerful, energetic, prepared, intentional and like-minded. I want these words to describe me.
I love that this scripture allows God to place the desire and the ability in your heart to accomplish His will. I’m ready. How about you?

I want those words to describe me too.
Oh my dear friend, they describe you to the “T”. Love you!
It’s funny, I’d never thought about that before- that the word willing represents the idea of doing something we don’t want to do. This fascinated me instantly, from a deeper thinking perspective, because as Christians we are often taught to pray “If you’re willing, Lord” after requests…
IF our brain associates our willingness with a reluctant obedience, then how negatively are we subconsciously projecting upon God’s willingness to address our requests. THANK YOU for giving me food for thought!
Misty, I so thank the Holy Spirit for using what felt like faltering words today. (Don’t you love that?) Thanks for stopping by. I can’t wait to read your post as well. Blessings as you move forward without reluctance.
I had to ask God once to make me willing to be made willing. He put me through some hard tests but it was worth it in the end.
Mandy,
My Mom always called that the “want to want to.” I am sad you had hard tests and happy it was all worth it.
Love you,
Karen
I want to have all those characteristics of the word willing, too!
I love that so often, the thing that drives us and makes us alive, turns out to be the very thing God has made our calling! He is so great like that!
Indeed, He is! blessings for stopping by and may the Lord multiply His work within you.
Karen
I like how you flipped that. I want those words to describe me too.
So glad you shared from the thesaurus as I so want those words to describe me. May He work in me and make me willing to accomplish His will.
Thanks so much Joanne. I know the Lord is hearing and answering that prayer. I look forward to reading more of your writing.
Karen
