Longevity Secrets from the Life of Bill Pritchett
Now become even more zealous about the things that strengthen the entire church. 1 Corinthians 14:12 TPT
Dad was eagerly committed and passionate about obeying God and doing what was right for the right reasons. It was never for the attention of others or any acclaim. He took additional steps where others may have stepped back and the results were outstanding. You can do the same.
I honor my parents for the way that they were so passionate about the growth of the church through building strong people. When they first moved to Costa Rica they encountered a beautiful place and met lovely people. From the standpoint of the growth of the church there was not much forward movement. There were rocks thrown on the tin roof every service. There had never been a revival in the country.
Mom and Dad started fasting and praying every Wednesday. The group coming grew until people from many churches came to be prayed for especially for deliverance. It was in this time that there were many healings and times of corporate prayer that lasted for hours. Still, all this was balanced with faithful teaching for the new leaders in the Bible school. This brought a change to the entire church in Costa Rica. They never cared about having the biggest church and many returned to their own churches bringing what they had gained.
I encourage you to go back and read the entire series. I pray it inspires you to diligently and faithfully commit to regular disciplines of prayer, Bible reading and loving on people expecting nothing in return.
