Author Karen Sebastian brings great encouragement to those facing the death of a loved one and speaks from the integrity of having cried those tears and felt that emptiness. Yet, her words speak hope, countering the darkness of grief with the greater light of God’s love.

Karen Sebastian grants permission to experience mourning. Her personal stories make no judgement calls on another person’s grief. The Hope Tools are practical and gentle on the soul. I am deeply touched by the metaphor of ‘riding the waves’ of grief.
